EWG's Healthy Living App Reviews

Still lacking some products but really helps to give an idea about a brand or help you compare two products. I would love to be able yo search for a specific ingredient into their database tough.

This App helped me clean up my skin product pharmacy. Some product were not found. But by going on their website I found enough info to make a decision. It would be very useful to add a list of the most harmful known chemicals such as paraben, oxybenzone, etc. This is why I gave 4 stars.

Love that hard working folks are creating apps like this. Thank you.

I dont ever go shopping without it.

The directory contains only about half of the products that I use, so I am better off using the online cosmetics guide instead (for make up, shampoos, lotion, Etc.). I like the bar scan feature. EWG should link the ingredients of the products (esp. High and medium hazard) to drop down and contain information about that ingredient and why it was rated as such, like on their website. I feel that the search engine could be categorized for easier searching. The app could also have guides like online.

I had high hopes since I love their website, but the scanner hardly worked for any products. I even had a hard time searching for products as the search isnt great. I downloaded the think dirty app instead and it is great! Scans almost everything. The ingredient breakdown is fantastic and it will suggest alternative healthier products in place of your dirty ones. It will even link you to amazon to shop! Its way better than skin deep. I just wish either of them did cleaning products too!

Im so glad this has been created...its ridiculous we have to look products up for their level of danger rather than it be more easily available however this is better than nothing! Thank you so much to whoever created this!

An essential tool for all conscious consumers. The fact that EWG doesnt charge for this app but accepts donations speaks volumes about the integrity and care behind EWG.

This is the best app/website ever. Nowadays you simply cannot rely on any brand for using safe products however this gives customers a great opportunity to explore healthier options when it comes to things like shampoo and many other products. I would recommend checking on this app before buying anything as it is accurate and has a huge database full of products !

This sounded like such a great idea but very few of the products Ive searched are in here. You need to include Canadian products for this to be of any use to me. Even the few I have found seem to have different formulations. Im likely going to remove this app.

This would be excellent and useful, but the app is terrible. After searching or scanning an item, you cannot go back and scan another without restarting the app from scratch. The app just completely freezes. This is extremely annoying if in a store trying to compare numerous products. If this bug was fixed, I would rate the app higher.
